Senior ICT Sales Executive

Position Overview

Sales Strategy & Execution

  • Develop and execute a high-impact sales strategy aligned with company growth objectives.
  • Identify new business opportunities across targeted verticals and geographies.
  • Lead end-to-end sales cycles from prospecting and qualification to proposal, negotiation, and closing.
  • Manage and grow a pipeline of large enterprise and mid-market clients.

Client Relationship Management

  • Cultivate and maintain strategic relationships with key decision-makers including CIOs, CTOs, IT Managers, and Procurement Heads.
  • Conduct client needs analysis and translate business requirements into tailored ICT solutions.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients, consistently demonstrating value and expertise.

Solution Selling

  • Present and position a full suite of services including:
  • Managed IT Services: Service Desk, Infrastructure Support, End-User Computing, Asset Lifecycle Management.
  • Cyber Security: SIEM (e.g., Microsoft Sentinel), SOC services, Penetration Testing, Vulnerability Management, Endpoint Protection.
  • Connectivity Solutions: SD-WAN, MPLS, Fibre, Wireless, Starlink, VoIP, and Remote Access.

Proposal & Bid Management

  • Prepare compelling proposals, quotes, and bid documentation with technical and commercial inputs.
  • Work with pre-sales, technical, and delivery teams to develop winning solutions.
  • Drive responses to RFIs, RFPs, and tenders, ensuring compliance and strategic alignment.

Market Intelligence & Reporting

  • Stay abreast of market trends, competitor offerings, and emerging technologies.
  • Provide regular sales forecasting, pipeline reporting, and performance insights to leadership.
  • Contribute to pricing strategy and go-to-market planning.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum of 10 years proven experience in ICT sales with a focus on Managed IT, Cybersecurity, and Connectivity solutions.
  • Strong existing network of corporate and enterprise clients across multiple sectors.
  • Deep understanding of technology services, including cloud computing (Azure, O365), network infrastructure, cyber resilience frameworks (NIST, ISO27001), and IT operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed multi-million-rand (or dollar) sales targets consistently.
  • Experience in consultative and solution-based selling.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Business, ICT, or related field (advantageous).
